It's Never As Bad As It Seems
It's been a while since I posted here. This one needs a little mood music, so please enjoy while you read. A tip of the hat to Bill Brenner for the idea of blog mood music. Bill is over at http://billbrenner1970.wordpress.com/.
We often imagine things as being far worse than they
actually are. It is sad to see friends put themselves through so much
unnecessary sadness.
Recently a friend of mine was supposed to meet me for
coffee and cancelled. She had gone to the salon and didn’t ever want to be seen
in public again. It seems she felt that the stylist had massacred her once
beautiful locks.
To cheer up my friend I told her the story I am now going
to share with you.
Few people know that back in the time of the great flood
Noah discovered a stowaway on the Arc. Just after the last two zebras boarded
the arc, Noah ran through the passenger list and checked off all the animals.
When Noah got to the rabbits he discovered three rabbits instead of two. No,
the rabbits had not multiplied that quickly, all three were adult rabbits. Noah
surveyed the situation and decided that there was room and enough food and
water so he said the third rabbit could stay and continued checking off the
other animals.
Just about as soon as Noah had made his decision, the
third rabbit began acting quite rudely. The rabbit started calling other
animals rude names, and kicking and biting them. The horrible hopper started
stealing from the other animals and was as mean as he could figure out how to
be. Noah came back and beseeched the bunny to be nice but the rabbit let loose
a string of curses like one only hears from the mouths of sixth graders.
It saddened Noah, but the rabbit left him no choice. Noah
scratched the rabbit’s name off the guest list and threw him off the arc.
The moral of the story is that even Noah had a bad hare
cut AND... it wasn’t the end of the world… almost, but the world grew back!
If you are still reading this, you know that it’s never as bad
as it seems, but sometimes it’s worse than you imagined it could be!
